somebody to love...

somebody to love…

the usual..waking up..making coffee..open laptop, hit media player and play in random..shower…singing while showering..:) then this song..

Can anybody find me somebody to love?
Each morning I get up I die a little
Can barely stand on my feet
Take a look in the mirror and cry
Lord what you’re doing to me
I have spent all my years in believing you
But I just can’t get no relief, Lord!
Somebody, somebody
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

I work hard every day of my life
I work till I ache my bones
At the end I take home my hard earned pay all on my own -
I get down on my knees
And I start to pray
Till the tears run down from my eyes
Lord - somebody - somebody
Can anybody find me - somebody to love?

then i find myself thinking…and thinking again..is this the story of my life now? somebody to love please…:D

a "spur-of-the-moment poem" from you know who you are..

your eyes,
have brought back forgotten smiles...

your laughter,
brought the happiness from a long time ago

your voice,
gently humming itself into me

and your hands,
trembling as i held it in mine..

So much has gone by
..

too many things had passed by us

some heartbreaks dented our hearts

some elation remained to guide us each day.

I have ran out of lines I have ran out of hope

I would have given up had i not met you.

im blown away by this poem...you do have a way with words. thank u for this gift!

Dream...

This is a poem from Langston Hughes

"It was a long time ago.
I have almost forgotten my dream.
But it was there then,
In front of me,
Bright like a sun—
My dream.
And then the wall rose,
Rose slowly,
Slowly,
Between me and my dream.
Rose until it touched the sky—
The wall.
Shadow.
I am black.
I lie down in the shadow.
No longer the light of my dream before me,
Above me.
Only the thick wall.
Only the shadow.
My hands!
My dark hands!
Break through the wall!
Find my dream!
Help me to shatter this darkness,
To smash this night,
To break this shadow
Into a thousand lights of sun,
Into a thousand whirling dreams
Of sun! "

WOW…what a poem to ponder..dream is a powerful tool of motivation.  a way to look beyond what you have now..have i been discouraged to pursue that dream by that wall in front of me?  have i lost  hope?  have i given up?  have i pushed that dream away?  hmmm..ponder..ponder..
